Coconut Fiber Seedling Pot

COCONUT FIBER SEEDLING POT
All-natural + compostable + easy to use

Ever sow a bunch of seeds, get them to grow into beautiful seedlings, only to kill them during transplant? You can avoid the hassles of transplanting by sowing your seeds in 100% compostable coconut fiber seedling pots such as these. Instead of having to extract your seedlings out of a seedling tray, (and potentially damaging their root systems,) all you have to is bury these coco peat pots along with your seedlings' root balls.

Coco peat/coco coir/coir dust is an awesome material because it is a waste product in the local farming industry– produced when coco coir (fibrous material) is removed from coconut husks. It is 100% truly compostable and safe to bury in soil, unlike many materials that claim to be bio-based or biodegradable, but require industrial composting facilities to safely break the materials down.

One order is inclusive of 1 coconut fiber seedling pot.

PACKAGING
Please expect all items to be packaged in very minimal used / recycled / secondhand paper bags or cardboard boxes. We try to minimize our carbon footprint where we can, when we can, and as much as we can, and refuse to procure new packaging materials for our products. Rule #1 of Zero Waste is REFUSE. All single-use packaging materials, no matter how compostable, take an inordinate amount of resources (e.g. water, fuel, electricity, trees, etc.) to manufacture. This is why we prefer to solicit used paper bags and boxes via Buhay Zero Waste Preloved, an online decluttering and dumpster-diving platform that we run. Our parcels don't always look pretty, but they have a much much smaller impact on the environment than most product packaging out there claiming to be "eco-friendly."
